"Getting to No" - Advice for IT Managers (and Vendors)

Below is my 26-minute presentation from the 2020 GMIS International conference

GMIS is "Government Management Information Sciences," a horrible name for a wonderful organization that promotes sharing and collaboration across Government IT organizations.

Disclaimer: All of the ideas expressed in this article are my personal statements and opinions, and do not reflect the opinions/statements of the City of Urbana.

The presentation is about a vital (and underused) skill for IT managers: saying "No" to your users.

It also includes a section for vendors, about the importance for THEM to say "No" as well...
